Le Merdien – Wien

Exhibit at the Austrian Embassy in Washington DC

At the invitation of former Austrian ambassador in Washington, Dr. Christian Prosl, Renate Summer, together with her daughter, designer Eva Summer, developed an extensive exhibit for the Austrian embassy. Shown were oil paintings and graphics. The opening event was attended by about 500 guests from politics and culture. The event was rounded off by a Styrian Festival where homeland specialties could be tasted. As part of the “EU Open Days”, more than 2,000 visitors had the opportunity to visit the exhibit in the embassy.

Neue Wiener Werkstätte

Oil paintings and graphics by Renate Summer, as well as evening gowns and illustrations by Eva Summer were shown in a space of nearly 11,000 sq.ft.

Exhibit in the Gallery aboard MS Europa

At the invitation of ocean carrier Hapag Lloyd, oil paintings and graphics were shown that were inspired mostly by classical music. Furthermore, Renate and Eva Summer held exclusive painting and design workshops for the passengers. The cruise sailed under the motto “Jewels of History” and took passengers from Barcelona to Kusadasi.
